The Role of Community Empowerment Institutions for Village Development

The role of the Community Empowerment Institution (LPM) in realizing development is as a forum for community participation in planning and implementing development, activities to formulate community aspirations in planning development are usually carried out through deliberation involving all LPM administrators in Tanjung karang Permai Village. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of community institutions for development, by considering Tanjung karang Permai Village in West Nusa Tenggara Indonesia, as a case study. This study used qualitative research methods. The informants in this study were the village Apparatus, the Head of the Village Community Institute and community leaders. Data collection techniques used were interview, observation, and documentation. The data were analyzed using qualitative analysis methods. Based on the analysis, it can be concluded that the role of community empowerment institutions for development in a Village is as a facilitator, mediator, and dynamicator.
